We believe we have a collective duty to serve our women veterans and honor those who sacrificed for our freedom!
Many of our American heroes returning from service are plagued with a new battle – homelessness.
In California, an overwhelming 60% of women veterans reported experiencing housing instability, 19% are currently homeless with almost one-fourth of the women living with their children on the streets.
Los Angeles County is home to more female veterans than any other county in the country. Most veterans’ organizations are geared toward serving men and are struggling to meet the needs of female veterans, who are at a significantly higher risk for homelessness.
Military Women in Need (MWIN) is the only organization in Los Angeles whose sole purpose is the prevention of homelessness among women veterans and survivors of veterans, and their children.
With your help, MWIN can help these at risk veterans tap into their strength, resilience, and past achievements to overcome the challenges of transition into civilian life.
Contribute to MWIN today and make a difference in the lives of military women!
